In Progress

Kate is currently working on her third novel, a story about 9 year old Henry who has an older sister (Super Duper Suzy) who is fantastic at sport, especially netball.

The story follows Henry's bumbling attempts to find the sport he excels at.  He has a go at several sports, certain that he will be an awesome basketballer, or footballer or swimmer - or perhaps all three!  Eventually, with Grandma Lulu's help, Henry discovers what it is he's really good at...

Kate’s second novel, ‘Mum’s Blue Pumas’, was Commended at the CYA Later Alligator Children and Young Adult Writers and Illustrators Conference held in September, 2007 as part of the Brisbane Writers’ Festival.

Of ‘Mum’s Blue Pumas’, an assessor from Driftwood Manuscripts said, “It is a witty, fun, thought-provoking and well-rounded and tightly written story with exceptional morals for the reader to learn from.”

It is hoped that it will be accepted for publication in the near future.
